Warsaw Housing Authority approved fair-market rent rates for 2008 during its meeting Monday.
The rates approved are at 100 percent and include a one-bedroom at $489 a month; a two-bedroom at $642 a month; a three-bedroom at $770 a month; and a four-bedroom at $817 a month.
The rates will be effective Oct. 1.
The board also approved the proposed 2008 Warsaw Housing Authority housing program budget on first reading.
The proposed budget is $126,573 and will need to be approved on second reading by the board at its September meeting.
The board also accepted the Rev. Stephen Austin's resignation as a board member. Austin has served as a board member since 2005. WHA Executive Director Pam Kennedy said a replacement will need to be sought.
Kennedy also read a WHA voucher program report for July with five families searching for housing; one contract completed; three terminations; 12 recertifications; 10 interims and 170 families using the program.
Kennedy said the Day of Caring held in Kosciusko County was a success with more than 300 volunteers participating.
Board members are Bob Kline, Karen Moeller, Joel Curry, Tammy Keirn, Page Himes, Melissa Francis and Kennedy.
