NORTH WEBSTER - A West Lafayette man died Wednesday after his vehicle left the road near North Webster.
According to the Kosciusko Fatal Alcohol Crash Team, Ronald L. Fruitt, 72, West Lafayette, was northbound on Ind. 13 when his vehicle left the roadway near the intersection of Ind. 13 and South Barbee Drive near North Webster.
Fruitt's vehicle, a 2003 Cadillac Deville, rolled over several times before coming to a rest off the road. Fruitt was ejected from his vehicle as it rolled, and he was pronounced dead at the scene by Kosciusko County Coroner John Sadler.
Alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the crash.
The collision remains under investigation by the Kosciusko County FACT. They were assisted at the scene by the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department, Warsaw Police Department, North Webster Police Department, North Webster EMS and the Indiana State Police.
The Parkview Samaritan helicopter was flown to the scene, but was disregarded due to the severe internal injuries suffered by Fruitt.
