NORTH WEBSTER - When the "Good Ol' Boys" of NASCAR fire up their engines for the final race of the 1999 season this Sunday, they'll be doing it to the delight of a lucky North Webster woman.
Beverly Whealy, an employee of Pilcher's Shoes in North Webster, was one of 10 retail employees nationwide to be treated to an all-expense-paid trip to Atlanta, Ga., for the Georgia Boot ARCA 400 Saturday and the NAPA 500 Sunday.
"We had a drawing for a pair of Georgia boots for all the customers and a contest for the employees where every time they sold a pair of boots, their name was registered for the trip to Atlanta," Whealy said. "I was lucky enough to be one of the 10."
Whealy will get prime seats in the Georgia Boot suite for the Georgia Boot Pole Day Friday as well as the Saturday and Sunday races.
