Weather Service Says No Tornado In Silver LakeWhile the National Weather Service has confirmed tornados in several Indiana counties, as of this morning Kosciusko County wasn’t one of them.

A public information statement from the NWS this morning confirmed a second tornado from Friday’s severe weather event. The EF-0 in Marshall County had an estimated peak wind speed of 70 mph.

That statement also said, “In addition, extensive tree damage occurred in and around Silver Lake where numerous trees were uprooted, some falling onto homes. At this time, it appears the damage was caused by straight line winds estimated between 70 and 80 mph.”

On Sunday, the NWS confirmed a tornado in Wabash County between LaFontaine and Wabash.

An Associated Press story this morning reported the NWS said an EF-1 tornado with winds of 105 mph hit New Middletown in southern Harrison County. Clark and Floyd counties also saw strong winds, hail and heavy rains Friday.

An EF-1 tornado also touched Friday in Madison County, the NWS said Saturday.
