Posted

After selling wristbands and washing cars, the Warsaw Community High School football team and Jefferson Elementary School students raised more than $4,000 for the Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund, the Tracey Ann Yeager Memorial Scholarship Fund and The Abbitt family. Friday afternoon, seniors from the football team and sixth-graders from Jefferson presented checks of $1,419.50 each to the K21 Health Foundation and Kosciusko County Community Foundation. The scholarship fund is through the KCCF, and the Cancer Care Fund is administered through K21. Pictured accepting the checks from the seniors and sixth-graders are Holly Swoverland (front row, L), grant coordinator for K21, and Suzie Light (front row, R), executive director of KCCF, shaking hands with the team captains.
