SYRACUSE – Thursday, the Wawasee High School choirs will present “Christmas Candlelight Celebration” for the community. The program will begin at 7:30 p.m. and take place in the high school auditorium. The program will feature both secular and sacred music of the Christmas season. The beginning, advanced and Vocal Motion show choirs will participate. The Candlelight Processional is a collaboration of all sacred pieces with accompaniment and narration. It tells of the birth of Jesus with arrangements of favorites such as “O Come All Ye Faithful,” “What Child Is This,” “Joy to the World,” “O Holy Night” and “Away in a Manger.” The Candlelight is a 45-minute presentation and culminates with “Hallelujah Chorus” by George Handel. Narrator for the Candelight Processional will be Dave VanLue. Amanda Bradley is choreographer for Vocal Motion. Deb Bishop is accompanist for the Candelight Processional. Connie Meadows is the director of choirs. Tickets for the program are $5 for general admission.
