Firefighters approach a fire from both ends of the Waste Management maintenance shop area at 2352 N. Boeing Road, Warsaw, Sunday morning.
The building sustained $100,000 to $150,000 in damage. Plain Township Fire Department Chief Jared Haughee said a passerby alerted authorities at about 7:20 a.m. Sunday. When the first officer arrived, he reported smoke coming from the eaves, Haughee said.
The Warsaw-Wayne Township and Winona Lake fire departments were then called for assist. The fire is still under investigation as of this morning, he said. Close to 50 men were on scene, and firefighters battled the blaze for about 3-1/2 hours.
No injuries were reported.
