Warsaw Woman Dies From Crash Injuries

FORT WAYNE - A 25-year-old Warsaw woman injured in a two-vehicle collision last week died Friday at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.

Desiree Hall, Warsaw, died due to "blunt force trauma from a motor vehicle accident," according to the Allen County Coroner's Office.

Hall was listed in serious condition at Lutheran before her condition worsened.

Hall was traveling south on Ind. 15 Wednesday when she lost control of her vehicle. Her car slid sideways across the centerline into the path of a pickup truck driven by Joe Leek, 50, Warsaw. Leek's truck, which had a snow plow installed on the front, struck Hall's car broadside on the passenger side.

Hall was pinned in the vehicle and was removed from the car by the Leesburg Fire Department using extrication equipment.

Leek was treated for minor injuries at the scene by Multi-Township EMS.

Funeral arrangements for Hall are pending.
