Warsaw Welcomes New Street Superintendent

Warsaw City Council welcomed a new street superintendent during its meeting Monday night.
Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer introduced Jeff Beeler, who begins his duties Monday. Beeler replaces Lacy Francis, who resigned following the results of a preliminary investigation by the city Stormwater Utility.
A request for information from the newly created Warsaw Stormwater Utility uncovered billing irregularities for previous storm-water projects. At issue was incomplete verification of work completed.
Beeler has been a sign department manager at the Kosciusko County Highway Department since 2010 and also worked for six years there as an equipment operator.
“I’m very excited to serve the residents of Warsaw, and am excited to serve the community in the best way possible,” Beeler said.
Thallemer said the city received several good candidates and the committee felt Beeler has a lot to offer the community.
“I’m very excited with the enthusiasm he brings and new direction for the street department,” Thallemer said.
