GOSHEN – The Warsaw boys and girls swim teams swept the competition Saturday.
The boys topped Elkhart Memorial 132-46 and Goshen 100-86, while the girls won 138-45 over Memorial and beat Goshen 135-48 in a triangular meet at Goshen.
On the boys side, Warsaw won eight events.
The Tigers’ 200-yard medley relay team of Zach Lalonde, Grant Knight, Nathan Taylor and Alex Cook won in 1:44.39.
Cook won the 100 freestyle in 51.63 and 50 freestyle in 22.87, while Lalonde won the 500 freestyle in 5:31.15 and 100 backstroke in 1:00.26 and Knight took first in the 200 IM in 2:04.27 and the 100 breaststroke in 59.39.
Warsaw’s Michael Ray won the 200 freestyle in 2:01.40.
The Tigers’ 200 freestyle relay team of Knight, Ray, Gabe Bowers and Cook won in 1:36.09.
On the girls side, Warsaw’s Lea Reinholt, Delaney Wihebrink, Taylor Gunter and Olivia Herman won the 200 medley relay in 2:01.15, while Grace Willig won the 200 freestyle in 2:12.17, and Grayson Kilburn won the 1-meter diving competition with a total score of 146.65.
Gunter also won the 100 butterfly in 1:07.47, while Herman took first in the 100 freestyle in 59.97 and Delaney Wihebrink won the 100 backstroke in 1:01.43.
Warsaw’s 400 freestyle relay team of Herman, Gunter, Reinholt and Wihebrink won in 4:06.52, while Lillian Boston, Mariana Malagon, Macelyn Marcuccilli and Willig finished first in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:54.11.
Goshen’s boys team won 130-49 over Memorial, while its girls team won 101-79 over the Lady Crimson Chargers.
Wawasee Boys Place First At Own Invite
SYRACUSE – The Wawasee boys swim team finished first and the girls finished fourth in their own invite Saturday.
The boys team had a team score of 274, while the girls scored a total of 182 points.
Columbia City won the girls invite with a score of 241.
Wawasee’s Abigail Hackleman placed first in the 200-yard IM in 2:41.32, while Ella Park won the 500 freestyle in 5:35.84.
Manchester Dominates At Caston Invite
FULTON – The Manchester wrestling team went 5-0 to win Saturday’s Caston Invite.
Manchester (11-1) started the day with a 63-18 rout of LaVille, and went on to be Tri County 79-12 and defeat 67-12 over North Miami.
Manchester finished the day with a 60-15 win over North White and a 72-0 shutout of Caston.
Ethan McWilliams (106 pounds), Elijah Burlingame (120), Dylan Stroud (126), Johnny England (152), Andrew Cagle (160), and Delton Moore (182) went 5-0.
Manchester’s Brady Wiley (113), Kevin Morales (145), Ashton Moore (195) and Bryce Kamphues (285) went 4-1, while Haley Clifford (120) went 4-0.
Tigers Place Third At Raider Duals
MIDDLEBURY – The Warsaw wrestling team went 3-2 to finish third at Saturday’s Raider Duals at Northridge.
The Tigers won 52-30 over NorthWood, 66-10 over South Bend Adams and 71-6 over South Bend St. Joseph.
Warsaw’s losses came 40-29 to Fort Wayne Snider and 54-12 to Northridge.
Jose Grimmet, Brock Hueber and Brandon Estepp went 5-0 for the Tigers, while Jacob Bass and Jose Martinez went 4-1 and Andrew Ross, Isaiah Owens, Brock Hogenson and Griffin Reed each went 3-2.
Warsaw (10-7, 3-2 Northern Lakes Conference) will host Triton Wednesday.
Valley Downed By Glenn
WALKERTON – Tanner Trippiedi scored 17 points, but the Tippecanoe Valley boys basketball team lost 56-37 Saturday at John Glenn.
The Vikings fell behind 10-5 after the first quarter, and though they matched Glenn’s point total in the second and third, they were outscored 22-8 in the fourth for the blowout loss.

Fishel Leads LCA Past Trinity-at-Greenlawn
WINONA LAKE – Abigail Fishel scored nine points to lead the Lakeland Christian girls basketball team to a 29-24 home win over Trinity-at-Greenlawn Saturday.
Anna Reimink scored eight points for the Lady Cougars, while Tori Calizo had six points and seven rebounds and Jessi Calizo pulled down nine boards.
LCA (6-5) will play Michiana Home School Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
Alex Jordan and Chris McAfoose placed second in their respective weight classes for the Tigers, while Kyler Denney was third, Jackson Bradley and Haylee Brown came in fourth, and Dominic Albano and Wyatt Klinger took sixth.
