Warsaw School Board unanimously passed its $44.5 million 2001 budget at a special meeting Monday.
The budget includes $32.65 million for the general fund, $6.09 for the debt service fund, $3.58 million for the capital projects fund, $2.05 million for the transportation fund, including bus replacement; and $150,000 for special education preschool.
Five members of the board were present to vote on the budget. Roy Szymanski was absent for the meeting, and Dan Robinson arrived too late to vote on the budget.
Rande Thorpe, business manager for Warsaw Community Schools, said the budget will now go to the Kosciusko County auditor's office and then will be reviewed by the state tax commission.
The board also approved an average of 4 percent pay increase for administrative, special services, support services and NCI Cooperative salaries and contracts.
School board members are: Craig Allebach, Brad Brail, Larry Chamberlain, Cathy Folk, Dan Robinson, Charles Sauders and Roy Szymanski. The board meets regularly at 7 p.m. the second Monday of each month in the administration building.
