According to co-coach Abbi Richcreek, Vex Robotics State Championship was Saturday at Stonybrook Middle School in Indianapolis. Warsaw Robotics team, 4417B, including Grant Monsma, Patrick Mosher and Kara Blair, competed. They were the first Warsaw team to ever advance to the state contest. In the qualifying rounds, they ranked 17th out of 48. The fourth ranked team chose them as an alliance in the finals. The three-team alliance won the quarter-final round, which allowed them to go into the semi-finals. In the semi-finals, they lost the first round and won the second round. They then lost in the third round. According to Richcreek, “Although, it was disappointing for the Warsaw team, they felt grateful to have made it this far in the competition and season.”
