INDIANAPOLIS - Riley Hospital for Children patients and Warsaw residents Deacon Howard and Bailey Moore will enjoy the honor as "Coin Toss Kids" when the Indianapolis Colts face the New York Giants Sunday.
They will receive limousine transportation to the game, an autographed Colts photo and a personalized Colts jersey. They will also take part in the coin toss at the 50-yard line alongside National Football League referees and captains from each team. Each family received four tickets to the game.
During each Colts home game, two Riley Hospital patients will receive this honor. The opportunity is made possible thanks to a partnership between Riley Children's Foundation and the Colts.
Five-year-old Howard of Warsaw is a kindergartner at Madison Elementary School. Just eight weeks after his birth, doctors at Riley Hospital for Children performed surgery to remove an underdeveloped kidney.
Last November, he underwent an additional operation to help prevent swelling and permanent damage to his good kidney, which has led to a complete recovery.
This past spring, the urologist presented Howard with his first clean bill of health.
In his spare time, Howard enjoys spending time with his cousins and playing video games.
This past July, 13-year-old Moore was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Currently in the consolidation phase of treatment, she is doing very well.
Bailey is in the eighth-grade at Edgewood Middle School. Her positive attitude and outgoing demeanor have helped her focus on the moment she will be cancer-free and released from treatment.
In her free time Bailey enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She also loves to swim, play soccer, tennis and golf, as well as paint pottery and keep busy with schoolwork.
