Warsaw City Council approved an ordinance Monday to remove on-street parking along the north side of Prairie Street from Buffalo Street to Union Street.

The recommendation came from Warsaw Traffic Safety Commission.

The council also approved an ordinance to transfer, for the building and planning department, $8,500 from improvements other than buildings to professional services for building a pedestrian bridge over Walnut Creek.

The council also:
- Approved an ordinance to transfer $135,000 from the street main budget machinery and equipment fund to street main budget repairs and maintenance to allow for street paving.
- Approved a $25,000 transfer from the street main budget other services and charges to street main budget street repairs and maintenance. The transfer is for garbage truck repairs and items normally taken from the motor vehicle highway fund and local roads and streets repairs and maintenance, which have been depleted.
- Approved a $59,500 transfer of funds from street main budget salaries to street main budget operating supplies. The transfer is necessary to cover the cost of fuel for the rest of the year.
