Several Warsaw residents were arrested Tuesday on drug-related charges. Warsaw police performed surveillance on a west side residence after receiving a tip of illegal drug dealing at 602 W. Winona Ave., Tuesday night. According to a Warsaw Police Department release. after two trips to the residence, Warsaw Police Dept. narcotics officers attempted to stop Jason R. Coleman, 35, Warsaw. Coleman fled on foot and attempted to dispose of two packets of synthetic marijuana, commonly referred to as “spice,” but was caught and taken into custody. Coleman was charged with felony probation violation, possession of salvia or synthetic cannabinoid and misdemeanor resisting law enforcement. He is being held at the Kosciusko County Jail without bond, according to the press release. A traffic stop on a vehicle leaving the Winona Avenue residence provided additional intelligence that there currently was “spice” at the residence and the people there were smoking it. Narcotics officers obtained a search warrant, and upon executing the search warrant found 14 grams of individually packaged synthetic cannabinoid. Police arrested Jessica D. Konkle, 34, Warsaw, for level six felony dealing in a synthetic or look-a-like drug, possession of salvia or synthetic cannabinoid, and maintaining a common nuisance. She was transported to the Kosciusko County Jail and is being held on a $2,000 bond. Police also charged the following individuals with misdemeanor charges of visiting a common nuisance: Timothy D. Freeman, 20; Amber J. Harty, 28; Tiffany M. McNees, 30; and Amber L. Wirsing, 22, all of Warsaw. WPD narcotics officers were assisted by Warsaw patrol officers and the Kosciusko County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. “Warsaw police continue to diligently work to reduce the influence of illegal drug activity in our community.
