McArthur Counseling Center is the gold level sponsor for the Victim Services fourth annual 5K Walk/Run. The event is April 20 in Winona Lake. A pre-registration form is available online through April 10 at www.warsaw.in.gov under the Departments Police Victim Services section of the website. All pre-registered participants are guaranteed a T-shirt with their $15 entry fee. The entry fee after April 10 and on race day is $20. Race day registration is 8 to 8:40 a.m., with the race starting at 9 a.m. from the Winona Lake Town Park. This event is managed by Kosciusko Runners’ Association, with awards in 13 age groups and special trophies to the first overall male and female finishers. National Crime Victims’ Rights Week is a time to honor victims and the advocates of victims’ rights. After a crime, victims need to know what rights and resources they can count on. For victim advocates, reshaping the future means locating resources for victims who want them and helping new victims.
