Four people were arrested on weapons and drug-related charges Monday. Lashawn Adams, 19, and Kathy King, 56, both of Warsaw, and Aaron Bauman, 34, and Zachary White, 23, both of Syracuse, were arrested after a series of tips and undercover drug purchases led Warsaw Police Dept. narcotics officers to multiple locations Monday, according to a press release from WPD. Around 1:30 p.m., narcotics officers went to a residence on South Wood Street, Warsaw, following a tip of illegal drug activity. Officers found several adults and juveniles with various drug-related items, marijuana, juveniles in possession of alcohol and a sawed-off shotgun, the release states. Adams was charged with four felonies: dealing marijuana, dealing marijuana to a minor, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of a sawed-off shotgun. Adams is being held in the Kosciusko County Jail without bond. Another tip led narcotics officers to the parking lot of Owen’s Supermarket East around 6:45 p.m., where police located King in the lot and in possession of schedule II prescription drugs, without a prescription. King did not cooperate in the investigation and resisted arrest. She was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital for a blood draw for operating a vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance, and additionally charged with a felony dealing narcotics, a felony for conspiracy to deal narcotics and resisting law enforcement. She is being held in the Kosciusko County Jail with no bond. Finally, an undercover purchase around 11:30 a.m. led narcotics officers and Kosciusko County Drug Task Force officers to a vehicle in the area of U.S. 30 and CR 250E. Officers located heroin and meth-related items. Officers took Baumann into custody and charged him with felony aiding in the dealing of a narcotic, felony possession of a narcotic and felony maintaining a common nuisance. Also charged was White for felony dealing methamphetamine, felony dealing in a look-alike substance and possession of paraphernalia. A 30-year-old Milford woman was charged with misdemeanor drug offenses, but her name was not provided in the press release. Both Baumann and White are being held in the Kosciusko County Jail with no bond. WPD narcotics officers and Kosciusko County drug task force officers were assisted by Warsaw patrol officers, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Dept. deputies and the Kosciusko County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
