Chad Harrison will participate in the Indianapolis Mini Marathon in May and raise funds for Fellowship Mission. Fellowship Missions is a homeless shelter for men, women and children. Harrison, 35, Warsaw, will complete the 13.1-mile marathon with his wife, Amber. The marathon is May 2. He said the goal is to raise funds for Fellowship Mission and awareness about the shelter. He and his wife have collected $1,000 since March. People can mail checks to Fellowship Missions at P.O. Box 382 Warsaw, IN 46590 with Indy Marathon Run in the memo line. His wife Amber is raising funds for those who want to donate a set amount. Chad is doing a minutes under run where every minute he finishes under two hours the pledge amount will be multiplied. For example, a $1 donation would be $15 if he ran in an hour and 45 minutes. Chad and Amber are volunteers at Fellowship Missions. “About six to eight months ago we felt like we needed to listen to God’s direction and serve those who are in need,” Chad said. He said he did not know there was a homeless shelter in Warsaw until he went to his employer’s website and it had information on it about the shelter. He works at Wildman Business Group. He and Amber serve food for those who stay at the shelter and assist with check-in and case management.
