Gus Rodriguez, 115 S. McKinley St., Warsaw, was treated and released from Kosciusko Community Hospital after suffering first degree burns in a Saturday fire at his residence, according to a Warsaw Fire Department spokesman.
Rodriguez had burns to his left hand and foot and to his his legs. The spokesman said Rodriguez was the only one in the house at the time of the fire, which occurred at 10:29 a.m.
The cause of the fire was overheated grease on the stove.
Damage to the residence is estimated at $5,000.
Assisting Warsaw Fire Department was the Winona Lake Fire Department. Twenty-five men were on the scene.
