Warsaw Man Indicted in Federal Court for Child Porn

A Warsaw man was indicted in federal court Wednesday on a child pornography charge.
The U.S. District Court in South Bend unsealed a criminal complaint against Richard Lee Harrell, 27, Warsaw last week.
Harrell, who lists his address as 1825 Nye St., is being held for U.S. Marshals without bond in St. Joseph County jail.
He has three previous misdemeanor charges on his record in Kosciusko County.
Harrell is charged in federal court with dowloading a number of images of adults having forced sex acts with pre-pubescent girls, according to court documents.
The pornography was linked to a home on the 1800 block of Nye Street in Warsaw.
The investigation on Harrell began in November and was ramped up in April when federal agents surveilled the home.
A man who identified himself as Richard Harrell’s brother-in-law said Harrell worked on computers in the home.
Harrell allegedly admitted to investigators that he was curious about child pornography.
Images were found on a computer and cellphone, court documents indicate.
