Warsaw Man Hurt In Fight At Bar

Posted

About 100 stitches were required to close a gaping wound suffered by a Warsaw man after a fight at a local bar.

Jason D. Miller, 22, of Kuder Lane, was reportedly struck in the head with a beer bottle after an argument between himself and two men he did not know while at Time Out Inn, West Lake Street, Warsaw.

Witnesses and employees helped police identify Miller's alleged assailants, who left the business before police arrived. Both were later located and one of the men reportedly admitted that he hit Miller with the beer bottle. Charges are pending in the matter.

Police were called to the business at 2:30 p.m. and found Miller outside the business holding a T-shirt to his forehead to keep the blood from pouring onto his face and body.

Miller suffered a large gaping wound above his right eyebrow area that was missing tissue, had tissue torn away from the bridge of his nose and had a deep gash on the left side of his head, according to a Warsaw Police Department report. Also, a large pool of blood was located outside the south entrance to the Time Out Inn, where police also located a broken beer bottle and the piece of tissue missing from Miller's face.

Miller told police that he was hit by the two men outside the bar after getting into a verbal argument with them inside.
