Another area man has found himself in jail for alleged trysts with an underage girl. Shannon Lee Webb, 33, of 423 W. Fort Wayne St., Warsaw, was arrested Thursday night on two counts of child molesting with a victim less than 14 years old. Warsaw Police Department was initially contacted by the mother of the girl after she was alerted to a relationship between her daughter and Webb. The mother later found text messages from Webb on her daughter’s cell phone, including a picture of male genitalia. During the investigation, aided by the Indiana Department of Child Services, it was discovered that Webb initially met the girl at the Warsaw Community Public Library in January. They had other meetings at a local McDonald’s and communicated through Facebook and text messages, including picture messages. When investigators interviewed Webb, he admitted to sending messages and photos to the minor. He further admitted to sexual relations, which occurred on a bench at Center Lake Pavilion. Webb thought the girl was 15 but expressed suspicion, according to the probable cause affidavit from the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office. Web is currently being held in protective custody at the Kosciusko County Jail on a $20,000 bond.
