Posted
Warsaw police arrested a local man this morning after he allegedly “pistol whipped” another man outside an apartment complex.
According to a press release issued by the Warsaw Police Department, officers were called around 12:45 a.m. to the Canterbury apartment complex on the north side of Warsaw and met with the victim and several witnesses. Those involved told police that Jordan Scott, 22, Warsaw, and several other friends had been drinking and Scott became jealous of his girlfriend’s alleged involvement with another man.
Scott then pulled out his 9 mm handgun, striking and pushing the gun into the other man’s forehead, officers were told. The force caused several lacerations and contusions to the victim’s head. Scott then left the scene before police arrived but was located a few hours later and taken into custody without incident.
The victim declined emergency medical treatment following the incident but went to the hospital independently.
Scott was arrested and has been preliminarily charged with intimidation with a deadly weapon, battery resulting in serious bodily injury/aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and felony intimidation against his girlfriend. He was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail and held on a $5,000 bond.
Scott holds an Indiana Lifetime Conceal Carry permit.
