Warsaw Man Arrested On Domestic Battery ChargesA Warsaw man was arrested Thursday on charges of domestic battery and domestic battery with a child under 16 present. Branden Lee Shepler, 30, of 3762 W. Old 30, Warsaw, was arrested at 7:43 p.m. and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on a $10,250 bond. According to a probable cause affidavit from the prosecutor’s office, on April 8 a law enforcement officer with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department responded to a domestic disturbance at 3762 W. Old 30. When the officer arrived, he talked with a woman who stated she and Shepler were arguing when Shepler became angry and punched her in the face and put his hands around her neck. The officer observed and photographed red marks and swelling on the left side of her face. The woman told the officer she was holding her daughter when Shepler allegedly struck her. The officer interviewed Shepler who stated he pushed and shoved the woman while she was holding their daughter, according to the affidavit.
