Warsaw Man, 51, Faces Charges Of Child Molesting With Child Under 14A Warsaw man is facing child molesting charges after allegedly touching a child under 14 causing her pain.
Mark Madell Brunner, 51, of 2507 West Side Drive, Warsaw, was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 2:50 p.m. Saturday for child exploitation with a bond of $50,000 surety and $250 cash.
Court documents filed Friday list the charges against him as child molesting, a level 1 felony, and child molesting, a level 4 felony.
On Jan. 11, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputy Travis Mickem responded to Kosciusko Community Hospital in regard to a report of a child molesting.
He spoke to a woman who said that a child under the age of 14 was staying at Brunner’s residence. She picked the child up and while they were relaxing, the child kept putting her hands into her panties, messing with her genitals. The woman told the child to stop it and the child said that Brunner messed with it and it hurt her.
On Jan. 15, KCSO deputy Thomas Waikel spoke with the woman who provided him with the same information she told Mickem. She also said her husband came home and she told him what the child had said. While she was talking to her husband, the child inserted her finger into her genitalia and said Brunner did that. She said Brunner touches her in the bathroom. The woman said since Jan. 11, the child continues to touch her own genitalia and says Brunner does it.
Waikel spoke with the husband who said he came home on Jan. 11 and his wife looked white and told him about the child. He looked at the child and she had her hand on her genitalia and said Brunner touched her there. The husband said that while his wife was giving the child a bath, he heard the child say Brunner touched her there.
The child was taken to the sexual assault center. During the examination, the child said Brunner hurt her. When asked where, she pointed to her genitalia. She also said Brunner touched her there more than one time.
