Wednesday morning the Warsaw Fire Department replaced its communications tower on Main Street, Warsaw.
Due to changes in communication frequency the deparment was forced to put a repeater on the tower. The department found that the previous tower that had been there since at least 1958 was rusting from the inside out.
The county council and the board of works agreed to pay for a new solid metal tower, at a cost of around $43,000.
The 150 foot tower was hoisted up slightly past 11 a,m.
