The Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts invites families to experience an afternoon of music, creativity and fun at Carnival of the Animals, performed by the Symphony of the Lakes Woodwind Quintet on Saturday at 2 p.m.
This family-friendly concert is more than just a performance, according to a news release from the Wagon Wheel. It is an afternoon of creativity, exploration and fun for all ages. Before the music begins, families can enjoy face painting in the lobby, explore an interactive instrument petting zoo and earn free popcorn for young concertgoers ages 5–18 by completing a short activity.
Each ticket also includes access to a downloadable Carnival of the Animals coloring page, and students who bring their finished page to the concert will receive free popcorn and have their artwork displayed in the Wagon Wheel lobby during the entire run of “Elf the Musical,” opening Dec. 5.
“We are deeply committed to giving children the chance to experience the magic of live music,” said Communications and Donor Relations Coordinator Sam Engle. “The Symphony of the Lakes is a treasure in our community, and events like this allow young people to feel the excitement, creativity and connection that only live performance can provide. These experiences can spark a lifelong love of music and inspire imagination in ways nothing else can.”
Tickets are available at wagonwheelcenter.org.
