SILVER LAKE – Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Dept. deputies are investigating an overnight rash of vehicle break-ins in Silver Lake.
Details are limited in the early teeth of the investigation, but sheriff’s department spokesman Sgt. Chad Hill said this morning that deputies are working 17 to 20 vehicle break-ins along Edgewater and Roosevelt streets reported early today. Edgewater and Roosevelt are north-south avenues which hug the lake on the town’s west side.
Hill could not report on what was taken from each vehicle, or if any sustained damage.
The department sent “several” deputies to work the collection of break-ins, Hill said.
No deputy incident reports had been filed as of press time.
