United Way Still Accepting Day of Caring Applications

United Way of Kosciusko County continues to accept applications for this year’s Day of Caring Aug. 15.
Housing Opportunities of Warsaw and United Way have been visiting the focus communities of Mentone, Leesburg, Milford, Warsaw west and Warsaw central to deliver applications door to door.
Additional applications are also available in various community locations such as libraries, food pantries, laundromats, the town clerk offices and churches.
Other communities included are Burket, Palestine, Clunette, Etna Green and Atwood.
The Day of Caring objective is to help Kosciusko County homeowners who are elderly, lower income, disabled or a veteran.
Volunteers will do limited work at rental properties such as general cleaning or yard work for the elderly or those with physical limitations. Day of Caring services are funded by United Way.
