Continuously serving Kosciusko County since 1854
United Water Indiana recently named Lester Melton as manager of the Warsaw operation.
Melton, 47, started with United Water in March 1994 as foreman and was later promoted to superintendent. He was named manager on Aug. 9.
Melton replaces Joe Dock, who was manager for seven years and recently took a job with another company.
The next few years will be busy, Melton said: "We've got some pretty big capital projects coming up." The company plans to establish a new well field on the north side of Warsaw and build a new water tower on the city's east side.
With more than 20 years of experience in the water and construction industry, Melton has worked for three water utilities over the past 20 years. He and his family moved to the Warsaw area in 1994 from Harrison County, in the southern part of Indiana.
He holds an associate's degree in administrative accounting and has completed American Water Works Association Advanced Water Treatment School.
Melton is a member of the Scottish Rite, Murat Temple, Indianapolis, and the Water Works Association and attends First Christian Church of Warsaw.
He and his wife of 24 years, Holly, live on Stanton Lake West and have three children.
United Water, formerly known as Hoosier Water, is privately owned utility providing water service to most of Warsaw and Winona Lake.
