Two Warsaw Residents in Running for $1 Million Lottery

Posted
INDIANAPOLIS - Two of the five finalists in an upcoming Hoosier Lottery Lucky Millionaire drawing hail from Warsaw.
Michael Richardson and Lorrie Warner both have one-in-five shots at a $1 million prize in the Lottery’s upcoming Lucky Millionaire drawing.
The drawing will be conducted Friday at the Indianapolis St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival. One of the five finalists will walk away with the million dollar prize.
“It would be a dream come true to be able to have that much money and know that my future would be taken care of,” said Warner, a mother of two grown daughters and grandmother of two.
Richardson is a truck driver of 23 years. While both Richardson and Warner are each hoping to hear their name drawn, both are excited to have gotten this far, to be finalists.
“It is great to get what is probably a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” Richardson said. “It is great to have a one-in-five chance, and if I don’t win, at least I had a chance.”
Warner's take on the opportunity echoed Richardson's.
“My friends are wishing me the best of luck and I would say one-in-five are real good odds,” Warner said.
“I’m extremely excited, nervous and very lucky to have the opportunity to be in the drawing. Even if I don’t win, it’s still very exciting to know that I’m a part of something this big.”
To become finalists, Richardson and Warner entered non-winning Lucky Millionaire scratch-off tickets into the Hoosier Lottery Lucky Millionaire mylottery second-chance drawing at hoosierlottery.com
They were both selected to win $500 and a one-in-five shot at $1 million.
The other three finalists are Shane Dorsett, Bedford; Chris Ziegler, Valparaiso; and Bonita Henson-Turner, Crete, Ill.
This is the second million-dollar drawing associated with the Hoosier Lottery’s mylottery Lucky Millionaire second chance promotion.
Greg Langel, South Bend, won the first $1 million drawing in September. Players may continue to enter their non-winning tickets for a chance to be a part of the third and final Lucky Millionaire drawing. A date for that drawing has not been announced.
