Indiana State Police arrested a Tippecanoe Valley School Corp. employee Friday afternoon following an investigation into allegations that he provided alcohol to a 15-year-old student.
According to Trooper David Caswell in a release from the ISP, on Wednesday an allegation was made to the ISP Post in Bremen that David G. Swanson, 49,  Bourbon, had provided alcohol to a 15-year-old student, and that he had been furnishing this student with “beer and hard liquor” since the student was 13 years old.
As a result of his investigation, Caswell indicated that on two separate occasions, once in January and once in February of this year, Swanson provided the student with moonshine at his residence in Bourbon. During the incident in February, it was alleged that Swanson had intended for the student to take five quart jars of moonshine and sell them for $25 apiece. It was also alleged that Swanson had manufactured the moonshine using a still on his property.
Swanson is a computer technician/technology coordinator in TVSC, according to corporation records.
He was arrested without incident Friday afternoon and booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on charges of maintaining a common nuisance, a Class D felony, and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a Class A misdemeanor. His bond was set at $5,000.
