AKRON – The Tippecanoe Valley High School American Studies class is hosting several activities on Friday before and during the homecoming football game versus Manchester High School to raise funds for Prill School. Prill School is an 1850s one-room school house in Fulton County and is a forerunner of the Tippecanoe Valley school district. The American Studies class has been working with the Prill School Advisory Board to preserve the building. The class also hosts each spring an annual Pioneer Day at Prill School for both Mentone and Akron fourth-grade classes. Funds raised during the homecoming events will be used to put a new roof on Prill School as well as to conduct future Pioneer Day activities. The community is invited to a chili dinner in the TVHS commons before the game from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday. Free will donations will be accepted. There will also be a dunk tank set up during the game with faculty and administration occupying the dunk tank.
