Triton Trojans Outlasted By Trinity-At-Greenlawn

SOUTH BEND – The Triton boys basketball team lost 45-41 Thursday at Trinity-at-Greenlawn.

Triton (4-4) led 9-6 after the first quarter, but went into halftime down 21-19 and started the fourth quarter down 34-31. 

Beau Hepler led the Trojans with 11 points, while Tyler Heckaman added 10. 

Triton was without Tye Orsund, who has been a force on the boards this season. 

Michael Florin scored a game-high 16 points for the Titans (5-3). 

The Trojans will host John Glenn Jan. 4.

Warriors Fall To Raiders

MIDDLEBURY – The Wawasee boys and girls swim teams were topped Thursday at Northridge. 

The Warriors’ boys team lost 97-86, while the girls team fell 143-43. 

Wawasee won two of 12 events on the boys side. 

Brady Claassen won the one-meter diving competition with a total score of 228.55 for the Warriors, while Daegan Kingrey won the 100-yard freestyle in 51.21 seconds. 

On the girls side, Northridge won all 12 events. 



Wawasee Pinned By Penn

SYRACUSE – Four Wawasee wrestlers won matches, but the Warriors lost 52-18 Thursday in a home match against Penn. 

Geremia Brooks (132 pounds), Isiah Faurote (152), Logan Baugh (160) and Fernando Hernandez (182) won matches for the Warriors (17-3).
