BOURBON - Triton High School principal Kelly Simpson told the school board Tuesday of the "rare opportunity" awaiting students when Triton will host the Supreme Court judges.
Judges Michael Cook, Dean Colvin and Robert Bowen, in conjunction with the Marshall County Bar Association, have arranged for the Indiana Supreme Court to come to the school Thursday. Oral arguments will be heard in honor of law day.
The first oral argument, "Oil Supply Company Inc. vs Hires Parts Service Inc." originated from Allen Superior Court. It will be heard during the morning session. Students from Argos, Culver, LaVille, John Glenn and Triton will attend this session.
The second oral argument, "The Colonial Penn Insurance Company vs Guzorek, Et. Al," will be attended by students from Plymouth, Tippecanoe Valley, Knox, Jimtown and New Prairie.
Oral arguments will last approximately 70 minutes, followed by a question and answer period. The public is invited. Simpson said he anticipates a full house for the proceedings.
