Treasures For Troops Conducts 'Treat A Soldier' Drive
Posted
Staff Report-
Treasures for Troops, a soldier support ministry through the First Freewill Baptist Church Of Kosciusko County, is conducting its third annual “Operation ‘Treat’ a Soldier.” Once again, the opportunity is being given to the people of the community to fill a treat bag for a deployed soldier and personally thank a service member currently serving overseas by including a card, letter or note of thanks along with the treat bag. Last year, 384 bags were donated and sent to the troops. This year, the collection goal is 500 bags. Anyone wanting to participate can pick up a treat bag with the instructions inside at the following area businesses: Warsaw Community Public Library, The Outdoor Living Center (formally Red Horse Bait), The Vein Institute and Medical Spa or Manns Kountry Kitchen (Silver Lake). Bags will be available for pick up beginning Sept. 21 and must be filled (per the instructions inside the bag) and returned by Oct. 4. For complete details, check out the Facebook page at www.facebook.com/treasuresfortroops or call 260-352-2678. Any church group or club needing mulitple bags to fill can also contact this number.
