SYRACUSE – The Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber will hold the 6th annual Tour des Lakes bike ride Saturday. The Tour des Lakes is a leisurely bike ride through gently rolling hills and scenery around the lakes in Kosciusko County. The tour travels around more than eight lakes, beginning with Syracuse Lake and including Wawasee, Papakeechee, Webster, Tippecanoe and several other small lakes along the way. Between the lakes, racers can enjoy a beautiful ride across the countryside and through small towns. The tour rides are a 25k, 50k and 100k. Along the way there will be stops for a quick healthy snack or drink. There will also be a free Family Fun Ride around Syracuse Lake which is approximately five miles long. Registration is from 7 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Syracuse Community Center, 1013 N. Long Drive. The cost is $35 per individual or $65 per family.
