Top Students Announced At Lakeland Christian Academy

WINONA LAKE – Lakeland Christian Academy announced its honor students for the class of 2013. In addition to valedictorian and salutatorian, LCA also awards a Timothian Award. The Timothian Award is unique to LCA and is awarded by the faculty to the senior(s) who exhibits excellence in spiritual leadership and character. Fayth Glock is valedictorian and this year’s co-Timothian for the class of 2013. She is the daughter of Jeff and Debra Glock, Leesburg. She has attended LCA for four years. She earned a cumulative numeric average of 97.81. Glock led a LCA community service group, was on the Student Worship Arts Team, National Honor Society and was on the board of Kosciusko Youth Leadership Academy. She plans to study at Taylor University in the fall. Alisa Gross is the daughter of Pete and Beth Gross, Warsaw. She is this year’s co-salutatorian. She earned a cumulative numeric average of 97.04. She has attended LCA for five years. She served as a leader of a LCA community service group to Warsaw Christian School. She is the senior class treasurer, a National Honor Society member and has been active in the LCA athletic department participating in volleyball and basketball. Gross will attend Biola University in the fall. Emily Witte is the daughter of Tim and Lois Witte, Winona Lake. She is awarded the co-salutatorian Award for the class of 2013. She earned a cumulative average of 97.05. Witte has attended LCA for six years and has been a part of the LCA community service program as a group leader and is a member of the National Honor Society. She plans to attend Grace College in the fall and study health science. Isaac Herendeen is the son of Dave and Deborah Herendeen, Larwill. He is awarded the co-Timothian Award for the class of 2013. Isaac has attended LCA for four years and has been a part of Lakeland Christian’s drama department each year. He is the vice president of the class of 2013, a member of the Student Worship Arts Team and a member of the National Honor Society. He plans to attend Grace College in the fall. The graduation ceremony is Sunday at Christ’s Covenant Church, Winona Lake.
