AKRON – Tippecanoe Valley High School announced upcoming open swimming, welcoming families and community members to enjoy the school’s swimming pool in a safe, supervised environment.
Open swimming will be held April 17, April 24, May 8 and May 15, according to a news release from Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation. The pool will be open from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on each of these evenings. The cost to participate is $2 per person, and a certified lifeguard will be on duty at all times.
During open swim, designated lanes will be available for lap swimming, allowing guests to enjoy both recreational and fitness-focused swimming.
For safety purposes, all participants ages 18 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Additionally, the following forms must be completed and signed prior to swimming: pool rules agreement, liability waiver and emergency contact form.
The school intends to offer swimming lessons for children during the summer and restart open swim opportunities again in the fall.
These open pool nights reflect the school’s commitment to promoting wellness, safety and community engagement. Families and community members are encouraged to join these evenings at the pool.
