FORT WAYNE – The Fort Wayne Philharmonic returns to Syracuse for the Steel Dynamics Foundation Patriotic Pops Concert June 28 at 7:30 p.m. at the Oakwood Inn on Lake Wawasee.
Admission to this event is free to the public.
Under the direction of Assistant Conductor Sameer Patel, Patriotic Pops will feature a series of patriotic songs and family favorites to celebrate the birth of the nation and the service of United States veterans.
“We are very fortunate to have outstanding audiences not only in Fort Wayne but throughout northeastern Indiana. It’s always exciting to travel every year with the Phil and to perform for these new and old friends in their own communities,” Sameer said.
Last year, over 450 people enjoyed this Kosciusko Independence Day holiday tradition. This concert is presented in association with Chatauqua Wawasee. Donations will be accepted during the concert to help underwrite expenses. Those interested in sponsorship opportunities may contact The Phil or the Oakwood Inn.
Audience members are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs or even a boat and enjoy patriotic music performed by the Fort Wayne Philharmonic.
In the event of rain, audiences will still be able to enjoy this special concert in the Wawasee High School gymnasium.
