The Auto Park in Warsaw, 2271 N. Detroit St., held the first Turkey Giveaway Saturday.
The Auto Park purchased 1,000 turkeys from the local Martin’s Supermarket, then donated a portion to Our Father’s House and God’s Highway to Heaven Church, and the remaining 800 turkeys were handed out to local residents.
Joe Swanson, co-owner of The Auto Park-Warsaw, stated, "We plan on making the Turkey Giveaway an annual event at The Auto Park here in Warsaw. The Auto Park will remain committed to giving back to the local community."
The giveaway is an extension of the Auto Park credo, which states, "In Him, Today We Give Thanks."
