Tennessee Man Held In Local Cybersex Case

Posted
A Tennessee man was arrested Saturday for creating two Facebook accounts in order to have cybersex with three Warsaw school girls.
Adam L. Morton, 36, Murfreesboro, Tenn., was charged with four counts of child solicitation, one count of child pornography and four counts of disseminating matter harmful to minors.
On March 10, 2015, Warsaw Police Department officers were contacted by an administrator from Warsaw Community High School, who stated that two freshmen girls said that another girl had threatened them over a Facebook post. According to the probable cause affidavit provided by the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office, all three girls had been in contact with “Josh Black.” Black was a fake profile created and ran by Morton.
All of the interactions occurred within Facebook. The first girl told police that she was in contact with Black from February to March 2015. Black introduced her to his friend, “Rob White,” who was 19. White was Morton’s second fake profile. She received two nude photographs from White, but declined to send any of herself.
The second girl received a message from Black in February 2015, saying that he was 17 years old. On March 4, 2015, she and Black had cybersex and he requested that she send him a nude photo, which she declined. She did not receive a photo from Black.
The third girl also began an online relationship with Black in March 2015. On March 3, 2015, the two exchanged naked photographs via Facebook.
WPD officer Jordan Foreman accessed Facebook and found that Black was also “dating” a girl from a Warsaw middle school. She told police that Black had said he was 17. The two had sexual conversations on Facebook and that he sent her a nude photograph. He told the girl that he was coming to Warsaw to meet her, but never did.
Foreman learned that Morton provided two of the girls with the same phone number for Black. He accessed the Facebook accounts of the first three girls and saw that Black and Morton were Facebook friends. Via search warrants from Facebook, he found that Morton, Black and White all had the same phone number and IP address. Morton had also been in contact with a fifth girl.
Foreman called the number and Morton answered as himself. He admitted that he created the accounts for Black and White and that he sent a nude photograph to the five girls. The photo was not of him. He also said that he chose the girls at random and received one photo from one girl, but had since deleted it.
Morton was arrested on a warrant on a $50,250 bond at Kosciusko County Jail.
