The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department received a call Sunday night from a young man allegedly reporting himself for beating up his son.
Nathan Ernest Beaudin, 19, of 210 S. Main St., Etna Green, was charged with aggravated battery and booked into Kosciusko County Jail at 2:20 a.m. Sunday.
Investigators at the scene found Beaudin outside his home and the child inside playing.
Police reported that the 2-year-old boy had suffered a bloody nose and abrasions to his forehead. According to police reports the child was examined and found not to have any severe injuries.
The child was temporarily placed in child welfare services until a family member or foster home could be found.
The incident remains under investigation.
