Posted

An employee of Riverwood Ranch, Joseph Gough, allegedly was battered by a 19-year-old resident Saturday night.

Gough reported to police that Daniel Lee Truax, Indianapolis, threatened violence after Gough questioned him and two other residents about inappropriate comments regarding a female staffer.

In a statement to police, Gough said he entered Truax's room and questioned the boys. Truax quickly became angry and Gough instructed him to go to bed. Truax allegedly then told Gough to leave his room and threatened violence in 10 seconds if he did not leave.

When Gough did not leave, Truax reportedly began a 10-second countdown and then pushed him against the wall and began battering him. Allegedly, Truax said he intended to choke Gough and began to choke him, when the two other boys pulled him off Gough and restrained him.

Truax was arrested and booked into Kosciusko County Jail without bond. He was held at Riverwood Ranch for Indiana Department of Corrections.
