A 17-year-old Warsaw man is in critical condition at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, today after being hit by a vehicle Sunday at approximately 6:15 p.m.
According to a Warsaw Police Department report, Bryan J. Titus, 18, East CR 200N, Warsaw, was southbound on Husky Trail in his vehicle when he saw the vehicle in front of him swerve into the left lane of travel. Titus then observed a person, later identified as Xavier W. Russell, 17, Glad Street, Warsaw, walking in the roadway. Unable to swerve out of the way, Titus hit Russell, according to the report.
Russell was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital then airlifted to Parkview Hospital, Fort Wyane, where he was initially listed in critical condition.
