The Syracuse-Wawasee Trails Committee will host its annual Trails Fundraiser on July 31 from 6 to 9 p.m. at The Owls Nest in North Webster.
This evening will feature keynote speaker Rob Bishop, president of the Kosciusko County Parks and Recreation Board.
The evening will also include a silent auction, paddle raise sponsored by Hahn Auctioneers and the “wall of wine.”
Attendees will enjoy a festive atmosphere while learning about upcoming projects — including the Wawasee South expansion — and supporting ongoing operations and maintenance of the trail system.
“We look forward to this event all year, as it’s so integral to our success as an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit,” said Tracey Ford, executive director of Syracuse-Wawasee Trails.
The Trails are all about two things: connectivity and community, according to a provided news release. This event allows The Trails to connect with donors, local foundations and community leaders. In addition, the event also provides an opportunity to recognize local community partners like KWWIP, Suckerfish Powerwashing and Garza Tree Services who donate their time, talents and resources, often “behind the scenes” to help support the Trails year round with essential maintenance efforts.
The fundraiser brings together donors, trail users and local advocates in a shared mission to connect and enhance the Syracuse-Wawasee area through beautiful, accessible pathways for all.
A limited number of tickets are still available and can be purchased by visiting the SWT website at www.syracusewawaseetrails.com
This year’s event is made possible with support from local sponsors including The Papers, Teghtmeyer Ace Hardware, USI Consultants, Kosciusko County Community Foundation and Syracuse-Wawasee Kiwanis.
