SYRACUSE - Syracuse Town Council Tuesday approved the application for the community development block grant for construction of a senior center as part of the community center.
The grant being sought by the town is for approximately $450,000.
In other business, the town council approved the first reading of the 2001 budget. The budget will get final approval at the council's Sept. 12 meeting.
A list of streets and alleys being paved for the 2000 street paving project was also presented to the council members.
Members of the Syracuse Town Council include Barbara Carwile, Paul Stoelting, Bill Hane, Bill Cutter and Carol Koble.
