Jared Frantz was sentenced to five years in prison Monday for selling drugs to two Warsaw teens who drowned after taking the synthetic LSD last year. Frantz, 28, of 1400 N. Haiden Drive, Syracuse, was arrested in July for selling drugs to Kaleb Lampkin and Korbin Foster, both 17. Frantz pleaded guilty Jan. 11 to level 5 felony dealing in a schedule I controlled substance. He appeared before Judge Michael Reed Monday. The plea agreement dismissed a second drug-related charge. Frantz will serve two of the five years suspended on probation and enroll in a rehabilitation facility, according to Kosciusko County court documents. Lampkin and Foster drowned May 30 while on synthetic LSD purchased from Frantz a day earlier. Deangello Granados, 18, was present with the deceased at one point during the night but was transported to the hospital due to alleged drug use. Lampkin and Foster were found in a pond at Lampkin’s residence the following day. The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department connected Granados, the deceased and Frantz to $80 worth of acid, according to a previous release from KCSD.
