Symmetry Medical employees have started a fund to purchase clothing and shoes for children in the community.
When Loreen Lemon, Symmetry Medical, heard that Cardinal Services employees were buying clothing for some of the kids they serve out of their own pockets, she knew this was something she and her co-workers could help with.
Lemon has distributed cash and change boxes within three Symmetry plants and 13 different departments.
The collection boxes were in place for employees to put their extra change for a project that Symmetry is excited about.
The change collected will be taken to Lake City Bank within two weeks, counted and a check will be presented to Cardinal Services. The money will be used for children's services to purchase clothing, coats, boots, shoes and underwear.
