Sweet Works At Kobe Basketball Academy, Meets Athlete

Posted
Warsaw resident Ann Sweet has worked at the Kobe Basketball Academy for the third consecutive year.
This year’s camp was July 9 through 13 at the University of California in Santa Barbara. Sweet’s responsibilities included selling Nike® products in the camp’s two stores.
Los Angeles Lakers® player Kobe Bryant was personally involved with the daily workouts at the camp and the awards presentation July 13, according to Sweet. Each camper received a team photo with Bryant and had the opportunity to have one personal item autographed by him.
The Kobe Basketball Academy is dedicated to teaching basketball fundamental offensive and defensive skills as well as social and sportsmanship skills to boys and girls ages 8 to 18. Campers are assigned to “learning teams” based on skill, not age or gender, Sweet’s information states.
This year’s camp was attended by 717 campers and included youth from 23 countries.
